Product Description

Rubika H is a mid-early hybrid pepper of the blocky type – the classic shape you know from the supermarket, only fresher, more aromatic and from your own garden. What makes Rubika H special? Reliability. As an F1 hybrid it brings the typical advantages: uniform, large fruits, stable yields and robust plant health. The cube-shaped fruits weigh 120–140 g and glow deep dark red at full maturity – when they are at their sweetest and highest in vitamin C. The plants reach medium height and thrive both outdoors and in the greenhouse – a flexibility not every pepper offers. Rubika H grows best in humus-rich, neutral loam or sandy soils in a sunny spot. Growing follows the standard pepper schedule: start indoors from February/March at an optimal germination temperature of 22–25 °C, plant out after the last frost. You can pick green (fresh and tangy) or fully ripe red (sweet) – regular picking encourages new fruit set. Who is this variety for? Anyone looking for an uncomplicated, dependable blocky pepper for salads, grilling and stuffed peppers – from beginners to self-sufficient gardeners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Rubika H grow outdoors or in the greenhouse?

Both work reliably – this flexibility is one of the variety's strengths.

Should you pick green or red?

Both are possible. Picked fully ripe and dark red, the fruits are at their sweetest and highest in vitamin C.

When do you sow Rubika H?

From February to March indoors at 22–25 °C, plant out from mid-May after the last frost.

What do the fruits look like?

Classic cube-shaped blocky peppers, 120–140 g, thick-walled and deep dark red at full maturity.

Can you save seed from Rubika H?

Not advisable: as an F1 hybrid, the offspring would not grow true to type. In return you get uniform fruits and stable yields.
