Tomato Venus

Venus is the ideal cherry tomato for urban gardening – bred for everyone who refuses to go without homegrown tomatoes just because they have no garden. What makes Venus special? The compact, determinate habit. The plant stays small and bushy, limits its own growth and therefore needs hardly any pruning – perfect for pots on the balcony and patio, and even for bright indoor spaces and windowsills. The round, bright orange fruits weigh up to 30 g and are a double win: a real eye-catcher among all the red varieties, and rich in vitamins and minerals – orange tomatoes score particularly high in beta-carotene. For best results, Venus likes it warm: 22–24 °C is ideal. Water regularly with lukewarm water, preferably in the first half of the day – this keeps the foliage dry and healthy. A pot of about 5–10 litres and weekly feeding from flowering onwards are enough for a rich harvest. Who is this variety for?
