Product Description

Korala is a first-class late carrot for anyone who wants one big autumn harvest that then lasts all winter. What makes Korala special? The inner values. The long (18–22 cm), uniform roots have an exceptionally high sugar and carotene content – and you can taste it: Korala is strikingly sweet with an intense aroma. That is exactly what makes it the ideal juicing carrot: freshly pressed carrot juice from your own harvest is in a different league from anything you can buy. As a late variety, Korala shows its second strength in storage: the crack-resistant roots keep through the entire winter without losing flavour – classically in sand boxes in a cool cellar or in a storage clamp. It is also excellent for preserving. Important for straight, long roots: deeply loosened, stone-free soil without fresh manure. Sow directly into the bed from April; for the storage crop, sowing in May/June works best. Who is this variety for? Self-sufficient gardeners, juicing fans and families who want to fetch their own carrots from the cellar even in January. Open-pollinated – you can save your own seed.
