Radish Lada

Lada is a mid-early, highly productive radish for anyone fed up with the most common radish problem: roots that turn pithy, woody or unpleasantly hot too quickly. What makes Lada special? Its harvest tolerance. The bright red roots stay tender for a long time and do not tend towards pithiness – so you do not have to harvest everything at once, but can take your time over one to two weeks. The flavour is pleasantly mild and not too sharp, which makes Lada popular with children too. After germination, the variety is ready in just 33–37 days. And it is extremely versatile: Lada thrives in the greenhouse as well as outdoors and suits spring, summer and autumn harvests – with early sowing under glass it is among the first harvests of the year. For crunchy, mild roots the usual radish rules apply: keep evenly moist and do not sow too densely. Succession sowing every 2 weeks provides a continuous supply. Who is this variety for?
