Pepper Sweet Oda

Oda is a fascinating pepper variety that combines two special traits: a spectacular purple colour and a dwarf habit that opens up new possibilities. What makes Oda special? First, the looks: the cone-shaped fruits glow in deep violet – a colour rarely seen in peppers that turns heads raw in salads or when preserving. The fruits weigh 100–120 g and are particularly juicy. Then there is the compact habit: at only about 40 cm tall, Oda is a true dwarf variety. Where classic peppers need space and stakes, Oda grows happily in a container on the balcony, in a raised bed or in the smallest greenhouse – and still crops reliably. As an early variety, it ripens dependably even in shorter summers. Oda prefers a sunny, wind-sheltered spot with fertile soil.
