Product Description

Festival 68 is a versatile, mid-early flat-leaf parsley with dark green, intensely fragrant leaves – plus a bonus that few varieties offer. What makes Festival 68 special? You harvest twice: the flat leaves deliver the full, savoury parsley flavour – flat-leaf types are more aromatic than curly ones – and the roots are delicious too, perfect for soups and stews. Parsley is biennial and can be picked over a long season: spring, summer and autumn. For an extra-early crop, sow Festival 68 in autumn or very early spring. Good to know: parsley is a slow germinator and takes 3–4 weeks – this is completely normal. Soaking the seeds overnight in lukewarm water speeds up germination considerably. The variety does best in light, evenly moist loam or sandy loam in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Regular cutting encourages fresh regrowth. Who is this variety for? Anyone looking for an aromatic kitchen parsley with added value – leaves and roots from a single sowing. Ideal for soup greens, herb butter, salads, smoothies and classic cooking.
